I was walking back up Wokingham Road from the girls' house on Culver when I saw this lying outside Subway, pointing directly to Adam Quality Foods. Maybe it wanted half a goat. The blue lights in the distance are from an ambulance.
This was an extremely awkward picture to take! New condos are being built on Green Road, which I traverse every day on the way to Whiteknights. A few days earlier, I'd seen this, but it had been covered in frost so I had no idea what its true color was. When I saw that it was black and rubber, I tried to quickly (hence the blurry chunk of my finger in the foreground) snap a picture of it without alerting the construction workers directly across from me as to what I was doing. (As if they'd have been able to figure it out.)
Saturday, 2/7: on my very street! It's still there, although now it's completely drenched from rain and mangled from many tramplings.
EDIT: for some reason, I felt compelled to pick the rancid thing up and stick it on our window ledge, where it remained for nearly a month, growing steadily crustier, until someone finally threw it away in exasperation.
On the 17 on the way into town, I saw a guy drop this glove as he paid for a ticket. I don't know if he reclaimed it when he left, but a woman a few stops later picked it up and put it next to the changebox (what is that thing called?)
